Please know the below activities are just suggestions and if you want to participate in any of the activities, you’ll need to book these on your own.
Captiva Cruises – Located on Captiva Island (approximately 1 hr drive from the hotel)
Sailing and motorized vessels available.
Embark from Captiva Island, Florida to a nearby island destination, relax watching the sunset or follow a pod of dolphins at play. Whatever cruise you choose, you’ll enjoy a beautiful adventure and take home memories that will last a lifetime. Florida Naturalist Narrated Tour – Located on the Caloosahatchee River (approximately 30 min drive from the hotel).
More than just a boat ride! Take a comfortable ride on the new accessible covered, and dog-friendly 40’foot pontoon boat that can hold up to 24 passengers and 2 crew members. (They have a minimum of 6 passengers required in order to operate).
Cruise the Caloosahatchee River on board the “River Queen II”. View Southwest Florida’s flora, fauna, and learn about its cultural heritage on this 2 hour Florida Master Naturalist narrated tour in and around the oxbows and uniqueness of our environment.

Edison & Ford Winter Estates – Located a short 5 minute drive from the hotel
The historic winter homes, acres of botanic gardens, museum, laboratory, Garden Shoppe (Garden Center) and Museum Store are open from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily. Thomas Edison’s 1916 Model T as well as other vintage Ford cars are on display.
The last ticket is sold at 4:30p.m. There is no charge for parking and we have parking for buses and recreational vehicles.
