Author: gary@arcsfbay.com
Subject: 19
Posted: 16 Mar 2021 at 4:33pm

We are in the process of Waterproofing a 5 story residental stucco wall apartment building in San Francisco. Water condensation on the interior walls is evident in the bedrooms and living room, not related to any rain leakage. This condition was ocuring before we remove the failing stucco and partial wood substurctue that revealed no original building paper or insullation in the walls or ceilings. We installed new wood as needed and the Henrys Blue skin membrane. We are in the process of installing a new three coat stucco system on this five story wood structure. The building was built in 1920, has all new double pane windows and no insullation in any of the walls or roof. We expected that adding a waterproof membrane would stop the condensation. Could this problem be related to no insullation in the walls and ceilings?
