If want to attend the below optional activities, please register for these events when registering for the meeting. The Al Capone and City Tour take place at the same time, so you can only register for one or the other, not both.

Mother Hubbard’s Sports Bar
SWR Institute has reserved space at Mother Hubbard’s Sports Bar for members to connect before heading out to enjoy dinner and entertainment in the great city of Chicago.  Because attendees will cover the costs of their own food and drinks, there is no registration fee for this event.

Private Al Capone Gangster Tour

Chicago’s mob history has long been immortalized in popular media. Embark on this Chicago Gangster Tour to learn the true story. With an expert historian as your guide, you’ll visit notorious hangouts of John Dillinger, The Untouchables, and the legendary Al Capone. You’ll stop at former speakeasies, historic hotels, and epic crime sites like that of the Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre.

See Chicago the way you want to see it. This tour will highlight such things as the architecture and history, the art, the cool neighborhoods, or peaceful parks and happening beaches. Sights to include Museum Campus that includes The Field Museum & Shedd Aquarium (Perfect photo op of the Chicago skyline), The Mag Mile, Millenium Park and The Bean, various Architectural sites such as the Wrigley Building, Aqua Tower, The Chicago Cultural Center (Largest Tiffany glass dome in the world), the London House Rooftop (best view of the Chicago River) and more!

Golf at a Private Course, Flossmoor Golf Course
An SWR Institute member has extended an invitation for Fall Tech Meeting attendees to experience a round of golf on a historic private course - Flossmoor Golf Club.

In 1899, Flossmoor Golf Club was one of the first clubs established in the Midwest. A classic parkland course that evokes memories of days gone by. Challenging for Bobby Jones, Chick Evans and Frances Ouimet, it still remains a true test of golf today.

Green Fees: $120*
Club Rentals: $80* (due to this being a private course, rentals are very limited, bringing your own clubs is recommended)

*Individuals will pay fees at the course prior to play (please pay by check or cash)
